What We Do

This is for our 9U through 12U players. We may also offer a 13U option if there is enough interest from families. We guarantee at least 6 games during our Fall Competitive Season. Depending on the availability of league teams these 6 games may be in the form of league play or may be in 2, 3 game tournaments. Either way game play is generally on the weekends with 1 practice a week.

Our Fall Season Philosophy

The fall is an amazing time to play soccer in Minnesota and a great season for young players to try out competitive play for the first time.  This soccer season contains all of the same things our summer season brings but at a much less intense level. The number of games and the distance traveled is usually quite a bit smaller.  It is a perfect time for a family who thinks they are interested in Competitive Soccer but are nervous about the commitment to give things a try.  So if you have historically been a recreation soccer only family or you know family like that, the Fall Season is a great time to make the switch.

These extra 2 months of training has an amazing impact on our younger players abilities. Nothing is more important in soccer development than getting repetitions with the ball and the Fall Season gives them a great opportunity to do that.

Fall Cost Summary

The 2024 Fall Soccer Season cost for training and games was $115.  We will always do our best to keep this cost as low as possible.

There is no uniform purchase required for this season. This is to keep cost a low as possible for families trying out the competitive model.  Uniforms will be borrowed to players who do not already have one.

School or Club

The Minnesota State High School League allows players to participate in both club soccer and middle school soccer. If a player is pulled up to play for a freshman team, JV2, JV1 or varsity team, the player can no longer participate in club soccer.

From a club perspective, we discourage players from participating in both club and junior high soccer if the junior high team trains 5 days per week. CMYSA does not want our players to get burnt out or injured from overuse which is more likely to happen with large soccer loads.

Some middle schools only have practice 3 or 4 times per week. This schedule makes club fall a more realistic option, but still can be a lot on a player.

We do not push fall club over fall middle school. Our goal is to provide a playing opportunity for those who need or want it. A player does not need to participate in fall club if they are already playing for school.  Choosing to play or not play in the fall season will have no effect on team placement during Summer Evaluations.
